Last night i had this very vivid dream and i am very confused and i hope that someone here can help me comprehend.

I was brought to this place where it seemed to be a wedding. Little did i know that i was the one getting married and had no clue that this was going to happen. I saw my girlfriend in her wedding dress telling me "Surprise baby i took care of everything!" i was definitely surprised and very hostile that i was not a part of anything!! and i said "but i wish i would have known so i can invite my friends and family" she said " Baby, I took care of everything" i said "But i'm wearing two different shoes!" (one old beige casual shoe and the other was and old running shoe) she said "Oh, well i bought you new shoes so you can change!" but i refused to take my shoes off! everyone was there and i felt like i was being pushed to do something i wasn't ready for, and throughout the whole dream my mix matched shoes played a major part of how i felt.

Please, help me comprehend this dream, its driving me crazy!!

Do you feel like other people are making your decisions for you in waking life? Do you feel that people who love you are doing what they think is best for you but you need to make your own choices and learn from your own mistakes?

Shoes are related to walking, so could have to do with the path you are taking in life.

Hey Marcia, thanks for responding to my post, i honestly don't understand, i have been under so much pressure with work, family and my personal life that its making me feel like i don't know what i want out of life anymore. But, one think i know for sure, i don't ever let no one make any decisions for me. Usually what i say goes! lol Maybe that's why i was so hostile in my dream. Any other ideas?

Maybe the other people in your dream who were pushing you to do things you aren't ready for are you. You are making yourself feel obligated to do so many different things, it is like you have many different people inside you with different goals which is why you feel so stressed.

Your being angry at the girlfriend who said she took care of everything could have to do with you feeling you always have to be in control, which is why you get angry when she says she took care of the wedding. But at the same time, because you are angry, you don't get to enjoy your wedding, so the dream could be saying something about your feeling that you have to have control over everything puts you under too much stress and doesn't let you enjoy life.

The different types of shoes can have to do with the different roles you play in life. (The casual shoe and the running shoe are supposed to be used for two different things.)

You are trying to do everything at once and insisting that you can play different roles in life at the same time (wear the different shoes), but a part of you is seeing that you can't do everything at once.
