Om Mani Padme Hum, Hari Om, Hari Ram.
Om Mani Padme Hum, Hari Ram, Hari Om.

The Lord is Bliss, omnipotent all pervading love, goodness eternal.

Sometimes it seems as if the place you travel in is not eternal. Sometimes you feel life as an omnipresent being existing in you. Sometimes you feel life as an act where the motions are preformed by you, but you are set apart from them. Sometimes it’s not bad that’s bad or good that’s good, it’s only Maya.

All pervading. The problem, the solution.

Om Kranti, Om Shanti. The love of Vishnu is like a fathomless ocean, wherein lies all the stuff of creation. His breath is of ice-honey and lives as of itself. The night of a thousand dreams brings Shiva. In all his mighty splendor and benevolence, he is adorned with the prayers of the liberated. Round and round the wheels of time turn again to Brahman, and the everlasting joy of rebirth. Brahman is fat and has a round face, shinning like the sun and beautiful as a newborn in spring.

Enter into the day of the Lord. Come into the garden of Life. Whereupon trees of Love bear fruits of Joy. God rest among us.

    God rest among you.

These are the ramblings of an ego.
The Maya is strong but not uncontrollable.
The mind is stronger than Maya.
The will is stronger than the mind.

Well, I hope you like it. I hope its not preachy, I certainly don't intend it to be. :) I just write what I feel in my soul. I've got another that I'm working on, I'll post it when its done. It's more of a story form.

I like it a lot, it's not too preachy; though for me personally it's a bit funny because I have a friend called Maya (spelled Maja) and she'd love this line:

Sometimes it’s not bad that’s bad or good that’s good, it’s only Maya. :)

I like it very much. It's very descriptive. I think it is slightly preachy, the parts where you address the reader directly and say stuff like "Enter into the day of the lord," but the poetic qualities override that.

When I said I didn't like preachy writing, I think I meant more that I didn't like bad writing (based on artistic principles) that tries to influence people's religious feelings, and gets treated as though it's good writing becauses it supposedly has a "good moral influence." Like those crappy feel-good religious poems on plaques that they sell in greeting card shops.

My Mother is the queen of collecting those. My sister too, they have them all over the house.

I'm glad you liked it, I undertsand what you mean about adressing the person directly. I acctually thought of taking that last part out. I probably should have, it doesnt really go with the rest of it anyway.
