My memory of this is full of large holes but I'll try and summarize best I can.

In this dream, I am in a room full of vivid colors and lots of people.
I recall the ocean being outside and spending much time near it.
This room is varying shades of green and yellow, each wall looks like a mural for intense color. I remember that this is the room I will be living in while I am here (wherever here is). I remember walking around outside, in a muddy grass field (my elementary school field) and fighting to see out of my right eye. There is color and people everywhere and all I see is blurred with bursts of sight.
Wander aimlessly for a while like this; intense colors and fighting with my ability to see them. After a short while I am aware of running with some young dark skinned children, feeling what I can describe as like they are my little friends and I must protect them. I shoo the little children ahead of me and they keep running while I stop and turn around. I see (blurrily) people I used to know, standing like they are our assailants. I see one I knew as being gentle and I think "[Name], why? What has happened to you?".
They throw small firecracker like objects at me which I feel leaving burns on my skin. I try to run, unafraid but confused, but my feet are so heavy. I leave them and return to the original building where, with my bursts of ability to see, I study my burn marks on my arms.

This was a very long dream, but I can't remember too much about it other than the color and the burns. The color was so intense and beautiful, even with the blurriness!

The vivid colors and crowds of people combined with you having difficulty seeing makes me think of you being overwhelmed by something. As if there is just too much for you to take in.

When you are in your elementary school field, it makes me think of you feeling like you are a child - like you don't yet have the skills or knowledge to handle the things that are coming your way.

The children that you want to protect are also related to this.

The people who you thought of as being gentle and suddenly becoming "bad". Perhaps they are the adult versions of the vulnerable children - all part of you. You are worried that in order to deal with circumstances in your life, you may have to become less of a nice person.

The burns on your skin are scars that make you "ugly" - in the figurative as well as literal sense.

It's interesting that you only have trouble seeing out of one eye. You still have a "good eye". So maybe the dream is also trying to tell you to use the resources that you do possess.
