    Hello folks!
just seeing if any of you have had/got a little shit called jdbgm.
i have it and have had instructions on how to kill it by searching, highlighting, deleting and then emptying the recycle bin. However when i search for it again it's still there! :x
I've done this over and over again to no avail. HELP!

those search instruction, the one's that say they are from someone you know, are actually the virus; it works by doing what you just described. I was pretty suspicious when I noticed the apparent technical help was coming from Dave (Smiley) :)

You never get rid of viruses by searching for them and highlighting them then moving them around; searching for them is what triggers the buggers off in the first place, it's how the hackers get info out of your files. The hackers send out the initial code that sits quiet on your hard drive then later send a little search code to as many computers as possible that asks, 'are you there' in the hope that the virus responds. So by searching for it yourself you are asking the 'are you there?'

Just do the usual virus scans with AVG (or whatever) and keep it up to date, most of them don't really do much apart from mildly irritate you anyway; unless you are running hundreds of computers in a large company that is. :)

I too hv the AVG, however I run Housecall every so often too, you can find it here:

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

It seems to pick up the odd thing that AVG may miss...thought u might like to try it.

btw Dont forget to turn off ur current antivirus before running Housecall, and dont forget to turn it back on again when u've finished.
