I've been reading this book on dream interpretation, since I always struggle to figure out what mine mean (and they are always very odd).
In the book, it suggests that having a "Near-Death" experience, and waking up feeling like you were going to die means that your soul failed to enter back into your body before the dreaming process was over.

    Any thoughts?

(Wasn't really sure where to put this, so I thought here would be acceptable)

I personally don't believe that. That waking up feeling like you're going to die sounds like a hypnopompic state.

Near Death dream City of Crystal

I had this amazing dream of what I called: “Crystal City” or was it “heaven”. I was floating from above. Seeing myself in two, me the physical, and me the “spirit”. Me the physical asked the spirit: “where are you going? The spirit me replied: “I’ll be right back, I’m going to talk to God.” The next thing I remember is seeing this beautiful, magnificent, breathtaking light, and following that light, it turned into what looked like a city of crystal. It was so amazing. Lights everywhere, beams of energy everywhere, iridescent lights, and even more brightness above the crystal. It was what looked like “floating angels” everywhere. Ones with humungous wings that reached from one end of the sky to the other. Faceless, yet a face of “beaming soft white light”. I kept asking these angels: “where is god.”. I would hear: “god is everywhere. Then hearing my name: “You have to go back now, time to wake up!” I would feel a jolt, a banging, jumping sensation and wake up. EOD.=end of dream.
