The 'my avatar' thread went a little off course so I thought I'd post this in case anyone is unsure about them. Search for 'avatar' in Google Images; when you see a picture you like; click the right mouse button over the picture, left click properties at the bottom of the menu, in the middle of the properties is a url e.g. http://www.avatara.com/avatars/images/fighter1.gif highlight the address or url and copy it by pressing Control then C together or by right-clicking on the highlighted text and selecting Copy. Finaly come back here and go into 'Profile' at the top of these pages and scroll down to the bottom of the page where it says Link to off-site Avatar or Upload Avatar from a URL: then click inside the box and paste in the address you copied by pressing Control then V together or right-clicking in the empty box and selecting Paste from the menu and then click SUBMIT just under that, and you're done. I think all the avatars from the site I gave you should work; if you find one that you like and you can't get it to work, you can tell me where it is and I'll copy it onto this web site and put it on your profile for you. I think you'll be fine though. :smashing: P.S. If you have a picture you've made yourself or have a picture on your computer, you can 'browse' to it and upload it if it's not too big or you can e-mail it to me and I'll put it on this site for you to use.
I found this site while trying to find an avatar. You can try to make something that looks like yourself http://illustmaker.abi-station.com/index_en.shtml
The only problem is you have to save the picture and download it to your computer. So you need someone to host the picture on their website so you can use it as an avatar.
Oh but there's an option to upload a picture from your hard drive in your profile, which works unless the picture is too big.
