I started to wake up, therefore I knew I must have been asleep. I was alone, laying face down on a very old settee. I stood up, although my vision was blurred, I could see there was a door I made my way towards it.. I could hear voices, they seemed quite a long way off. When I reached the door and opened it I realised I was on the top floor and the voices were coming from down the stairs. Draped over the banister was a bag, like a sack with handles. As I looked closer I could see the bag was moving, not much, just swaying a little. My first instinct was to run down the stairs and get as far away as possible but, as I crept along the landing another door opened. There was this guy standing there, he was very smartly dressed and had a glass of wine in his hand. He asked me if I was there for the party. Before I could answer hed invited me in (obviously assuming that I was there for the party). He looked very normal, civilised infact, so, again dont ask me why, I followed him in. Inside the room there were alot of people all sitting around talking and drinking wine. I looked round the room and there resting on the window seat was something I couldnt quite make out...

I made my way across the room toward the window. As I drew closer I could see a parcel on the seat. It was a sack, similar to the one that was slung over the banister on the landing. It looked out of place as the room was quite tastefully decorated and extremely tidy. Just then a couple, dont know if they were man and wife, came up to me and started making pleasentries and consequently blocking my view fron 'the sack'. The man began to explain about his business. He said he sold light bulbs. He went into great depth about how many different types there were and to whom he sold them. My head began to spin.I wasnt feeling odd again, just extremely bored. Im not one for pleonasm, and I was finding the conversation very irritating. I hadnt noticed his wife (or the female of the two) had disappeared until she reappeared holding two glasses of red wine. She smiled and offered me a glass, signalling with her eyes towards the man, as if to say 'Sorry about my husband, doesnt he go on!'
I gratefully accepted the wine and averted my attention to her. Leaning a little closer, she asked if I had been to one of Harveys parties before. Thinking about it, I presumed by 'Harvey' she was refering to the guy who had opened the door on the landing. I opened my mouth to reply, but before I could speak, she interjected...

She said it was their third time, and added that they werent sure at first. Infact, she said they were very apprehensive. However, she went on to say that it was the best decision they have ever made, and that their lifes had been transformed. She seemed so passionate, it startled me. I looked to my wine glass, realising it was empty, I looked for somewhere to put it down. There were no tables, so I edged towards the window seat. The woman was still talking and now the guy had joined in with just as much enthusiasm as his counterpart.
The room was very noisy with people talking. I got a strange eerie feeling. I realised that even though this was supposed to be a party, there was no laughter and no music. There was plenty of red wine, but to be honest I didnt rate it that well..though it has to be said, Im no connoisseur of the grape. Quite frankly, a good ale is more my forte. Heavy, thick tasting wine..you can keep it. Anyway, I went to put down my glass..and noticed 'the sack', it was moving, not much, but definitely moving.. quivering.
I touched the womans arm, and pointing at 'the sack' I said "Look! What the hell is that. Have you seen that. What is it?" At that, the room fell silent and everyone was staring at me. They were all standing up and walking towards me... fixated, expressionless.. I scanned their faces and couldnt believe what I was seeing.. their mouths, their noses, their eyes... Oh my god, I tried to move.. their faces ohh, their faces.. and then 'the sack'.. :twisted:

Its worse than anything anybody could even dream about.. Is Pippa not interested? Maybe I have gone too far this time. Cos this is just about to get really scary? If this is not what people want to hear, then I will leave it for my book. But remember...you could have heard it here first.. the choice is at your door now... should I carry on??? The sack slowly began to open, what I thought was an animal began to emerge... it wasnt an animal it was a man. He asked me if I remembered him. He was a guy called Roy Sleights, I was at junior school with him. He asked me 'Why did you do it?'
I couldnt hardly remember him..'what was he talking about' I thought. Everyone in the room was looking at me. I felt kinda scared.
He(Roy) asked me to lay down on the floor. I felt compelled. I laid down. One by one, everyone in the room touched me...and then he (Roy) brought something from his pocket.....Whatever it was (I dont know) but something came towards me and I felt the most sinister fear that I have ever felt and then without any warning...... :twisted:

Im in the process of writing a story. It will be a cross between Lord Of The Rings and Final Fantasy. It is titled Two Sides To A Immortal

Feel free to post excerpts, if you want feedback before it's all finished.
