This is a great reference. I'll refer to it next time I have one of those. I think this mostly applies true to me despite my interest in geopolitical matters, although once in a while I'll have a dream of war or a war torn setting that seems to transend the usual personal matter and relate to the "bigger picture."
I think they are very common types of dreams, more so now that we hear about wars all the time on TV - whether our country is involved in one or not. I think I enjoy most of my war dreams, they're often epic battles with a cast of thousands - much more like a Hollywood movie than a real battle.
I've noticed. They also tend to be intergalatic. I liked the one about helping the anime character escape from prison.
I actually printed that one out and took it to my writing group, they thought I should turn it into a story. I told them I have a thousand others just like it.
Maljonic have you ever been to a real battle? i have been have this recuring dream for a while now and it always has somthing to do with the US. in my dream a powerful organization called the Illuminati (they do exist i'll give you proof look up the book "The Original Writings of the Order and the Sect of the Illuminati."-warning this book is very old and may be hard to understand because americans are brainwashed to beleive that they don't exist it has proven to be a very effective method- read it carefuly) took over the nation. in 3 days our nation was under martial law men and women were arrested by cops for no reason. the leader of this organization came to New York (i live in south Georgia) and said all that was good is now mine all that stand and oppose me shall die for i am the ruller of all there is. where i was standing was a small abandoned marine base sniper tower. while i was watching a man appeared right beside me and said "you are a blessed man to see the evil that is. now that you have an knowlege of the things to come you must try to slow it's arival." the man told me of an army that was to oppose the evil dictator he said" and they stood upon the ridge and a great yell went out each man shot the weapon in hand killing the dark army. the men blathed in fire would not die for they were in the right(talking of the men on the ridge-the fire was a bomb hitting them and not killing them) the men were destroying what they could" then the man told me the few fellows would not survive the next 4 weeks for it was planed that they become maytr's. i had no part in the battle instead i watched.
I have seen fighting. The Illuminati do/did exist, like I said in the other thread, but they are nothing like they're portrayed in movies or books by Dan Brown etc and certainly are not all-powerful. The type of dream you had is fairly typical during times of crapness, especially in modern times when the media, from the BBC, though CNN and Fox News, are blaming everything from Goats to Guatemalans on the current economic 'crisis'. When there's no one really to blame, apart from perhaps ourselves (in some cases) for spending more money than we had in the case of current economic situation, the mind tends to turn to the supernatural, men in black and conspiracies to explain things that have no real defining cause. These types of dreams are also very common when we're feeling insecure about ourselves, especially when we feel we have no control over what's happening in our lives. This could be because of personal circumstances, or because we're becoming wound up by the wider current problems of society.
but have you seen a real battle with men killing each other brutaly. blood washing up to your feet. men cring to there gods to save them. wounded men weeping. children running to their dead fathers just to be killed that is a real batlle.
none of the above i'm talkking real life. the stuff you see in life is scaryier than dreams. sometime they get draged into your dreams.
The only fighting, as in wars, I've seen is modern fighting, with guns and bombs etc. The days of men brutally killing each other with blood washing over their feet is mostly a thing of the past, apart from in some tribal massacre type scenarios in the remoter parts of Africa perhaps. Your description of a 'real battle' sounds more like something from the nineteenth century, or perhaps WWI trenches, apart from the bit about the children. Or, like I said, some gangland/tribal village massacre, which wouldn't qualify as a battle if they're just hacking people to bits. Edit: Anyways, I find it hard to believe that a guy who posts silly things on The Simpsons wiki and is also in Dragonball would have much idea about what it's like to be in a real war. Double edit: Or do you have a family member who's been in a war and told you about it?
no i've been to south america recently during a bunch of killing (the war i talk of is a cartel-gov war) so i know about war and death. i would prefer not to go into detail as to not dream about it. p.s. i don't like the simpsons or dragonball i prefer to work than watch t.v.
